WILMINGTON, Del. — With just one month before the deadline for Americans to file their federal income tax returns, U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.) today reminded Delawareans of an array of free resources for those looking for help.
“Filing tax returns can often be daunting and confusing, so I encourage Delawareans to take advantage of the many resources out there to help navigate the process,” Senator Coons said. “There are many legitimate and free tax filing resources available that will not only save you time, but could also save you money.”
The deadline for filing federal income tax returns is Tuesday, April 17. Those who have filed or plan to file for a six-month extension have until Monday, October 15th to mail in their federal taxes.
