On Dec. 14, 2019, U.S. Senator Chris Coons surprised four Delaware students with the news of their principal nominations to U.S. service academies for the Class of 2024. Senator Coons made the announcement at the Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover. The students, who all live in Kent or Sussex Counties, have earned the senator’s principal nominations and are slated for appointment to service academies should they meet all medical, physical, and academic requirements.
