Senator Chris Coons toured Miller Metals Fabrication, Inc., a successful manufacturing facility in Bridgeville. Marty Miller, the company’s president led the tour.

Senator Chris Coons spoke at an event at the Dover Federal Credit Union’s main office to congratulate them on becoming a Small Business Administration Lender. Dover Federal Credit Union is the third Delaware credit union to be approved to finance SBA-guaranteed loans, which provide entrepreneurs with additional opportunities for accessing capital in order to open and expand their small businesses.
On April 11, 2011, more than 2,200 people looking for work came to a job fair hosted by Senator Chris Coons at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, eager to meet with the 80 employers and academic institutions on hand for the fair.
In March 2011, Senator Coons visited Elcriton and Air Liquide – two clean energy companies in Newark, DE. During his visits, Chris met with employees and saw firsthand the projects they were working on.
In March 2011, Sen. Coons visited the Delaware Center for Inland Bays quarterly board meeting, the University of Delaware’s Lewes Campus wind turbine and Delaware Electric Co-Operative. All three of these visits focused on ways to preserve our natural environment, either through direct protection of Delaware’s coasts or by investing in more energy efficient technology.
In March 2011, Senator Coons toured the Mountaire Poultry Processing Plant in Millsboro, Delaware.
