“America is the world’s preeminent economic force because of the exceptional skill, dedication, and strength of American workers. Labor Day is an opportunity to honor those who power our economy and our communities, and to reflect on the advancements made in protecting the rights of American workers and establishing fair labor standards. We cannot forget, however, that there are still far too many Delawareans who are trying to get back into the workforce. Accelerating our nation’s economic recovery and helping our out-of-work neighbors find jobs is my top priority, and should be Congress’ top priority, as well. Washington must return its focus to helping America’s small businesses create jobs.”
