2019-10-28 U.S. Global Leadership Coalition Conference in Delaware

On Oct. 28, 2019, U.S. Senator Chris Coons attended the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s annual conference in Wilmington, Delaware. Event participants spoke about the importance of maintaining U.S. global leadership – both for national and economic security in the United States, and they discussed humanitarian and moral leadership around the world.

2019-10-18 South Wilmington Wetlands Park Groundbreaking Ceremony

On October 18, 2019, the City of Wilmington celebrated the groundbreaking of its South Wilmington Wetlands Park. The project, partially funded by $3 million in federal grants, is possible thanks to a lot of people pulling together across a lot of agencies and entities. Federal agencies involved in this wetlands project include NOAA, EPA, NFWF, and the Army Corps of Engineers.

2019-09-09 Visit with National Endowment for the Arts Chairman

On Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, Senator Chris Coons, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, and Mary Anne Carter, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, or NEA, convened here with members of the arts community to hear about the impact of NEA grants in Delaware. They visited the Grand Opera House and the Delaware Art Museum.
