Senator Coons' statement on nomination as representative to U.N. General Assembly

WASHINGTON - Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement on his nomination by President Obama to serve as Representative of the United States to the 71st Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations:

“I’m deeply honored to be nominated by President Obama to serve at the U.N. General Assembly next week. I look forward to continuing to serve the people of Delaware by representing the U.S. Senate and my Democratic colleagues in New York.”
