I have worked with Senator Rubio on multiple bills over the last 14 years of serving together on the Foreign Relations Committee. While we may not agree on everything, I know he is committed to securing American leadership, values, and interests around the world. Secretary Rubio is more than qualified to lead in this new role, and I hope he will trust in the experience and institutional knowledge of our foreign and civil service officers at the State Department and in embassies around the world as he crafts our nation’s foreign policy agenda.”
