DOVER, Del. – U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.) released the following statement today after attending the dignified transfer of remains of three U.S. Army Reserve soldiers who perished in a January 28 drone attack on their base in Jordan:

“Today, I paid my solemn respects to the memories of Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, Sgt. Kennedy Ladon Sanders, and Sgt. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great nation. Annie and I express our deepest condolences to their loved ones and promise to uphold our country’s sacred commitment to their surviving family members. We thank the dedicated team at AFMAO, the Dover Air Force Base, and the volunteers who provide comfort to grieving family members during this profoundly difficult time.”
