Senator Coons reacts to State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) released the following statement reacting to President Obama’s State of the Union address.

“I thought President Obama did a terrific job tonight layingout an aggressive vision for making our country more competitive and getting more Americans back to work.  The tone was optimistic yet pragmatic – exactly what Americans expect from their leaders. I agree with the President – it’s not enough just to rebuild our economy. We must commit ourselves to making sure we come out of this recession stronger and more competitive in the global economy. That’s how we live up to the challenge laid out by the President tonight and win the future.”
