WASHINGTON – Next week, U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will attend the 71st session of the U.N. General Assembly as the Democratic U.S. Representative.

In New York, Senator Coons will meet with leaders from governments around the world and participate in the U.S. government’s efforts to increase support for refugees. He will also participate in the U.S.-Africa Business Forum, an event co-hosted by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, designed to deepen ties between American businesses and the growing continent of Africa.
