Tuesday, June 7 at 5 p.m. — Sens. Coons and Whitehouse (D-RI) will deliver a colloquy on the Senate floor detailing recent findings from their trip through Delaware’s climate change impacted areas. The visit, which took place on Saturday, May 21, included stops in Wilmington’s South Bridge neighborhood, where they visited a neighborhood impacted by climate change and how DNREC is working with neighbors to find a solution, a visit to Prime Hook beach to see recent work rebuilding the beach area, and to Cape Henlopen to take part in a citizen science project counting horseshoe crabs.
